Norths Goalie Policy

To support all our Goalies Norths Junior Womens Hockey Club will:

  • Provide free access to Norths run goalie clinics;
  • Support access to external goalie clinics; and
  • Provide access to free goalie kits to all U9, U11, U13 and Junior Goalies.

For goalies wishing to invest in their own goalie kits, or parts thereof, Norths Junior Womens Hockey Club will:
  • Reimburse up to 50% of any goalie gear purchased each year, with this amount capped at $300 per year for turf players / $150 per year for grass players.
  • The difference between turf and grass is  based on the difference in the fees payed and the amount we are able to refund.
  • For this reason, goalies may choose not to pay 100% of their fees upfront, and this can be taken as a deduction from fees;
  • Where goalies have paid all their fees, this will be paid as a refund; and
  • Where a large purchase is made, this can be claimed over multiple seasons.

All requests for refunds should be sent to including proof of purchase.

For example if you are a grass goalie and want to purchase some better kickers which cost $320, then simply email the receipt and we will credit your account $150 and give you a refund for this amount.

Volunteer Levy

Like most sporting clubs, Norths is run by volunteers, and it really is a case of many hands make light work.  We encourage all families to help with managing, coaching, canteen and other coordination roles.  We expect all families to help, and therefore we do not charge a volunteer levy (nor do we pay !).

However, coaches, who are not parents of a child in the team, are eligible for a contribution by NSJWHC towards either their playing fees, up to $300 per annum, if they play for Norths Senior Womens or Senior Mens teams or travel costs up to $300 per annum, if they are not players.
